1979 LOTUS ESPRIT S2

Giorgetto Giugiaro's razor-edged Lotus Esprit was (and remains) a very striking design, with this example being a Series 2 (1978-1981) example in eye-catching black. The car was registered in January 1979, and has had five registered keepers overall since then. The odometer shows around 46,000 miles. There's no current MoT; as an historic vehicle, the Esprit no longer requires one. Its last expired in February 2021, after having been tested the previous year at 45,949 miles. Documentation accompanying the vehicle includes the current and past V5Cs, a Club Lotus magazine from April 2016, the owner's handbook, There's a small collection of invoices, including one from 2020 showing the cambelt, alternator belt, waterpump belt, battery, oil and filter were replaced in February 2020 at 45,949 miles. The vendor also tells us that during 2021, the brakes, suspension, and steering all received some renovation work, while the leather interior was retrimmed. Also accompanying the vehicle are MoT certificates from 1989, 1990, 2005 and 2006.
