1988 FORD ESCORT 1.3L 

Originally retained by the supplying Ford dealership, Larkfield, in Chepstow from new in March 1988, this five-door 1.3 L Escort MkIV was sold to somebody in Chepstow in September 1988, who then sold it to a family friend in Ipswich. This gentleman kept it for the next 31 years until early 2022. The vendor describes it as a well-cared for car that runs and drives well, but has been very little used for the past three years, save for trips to the MoT station. It was started to keep it working and put on a permanent charge. The car's last service was in February 2020, when £525 was spent on it; the service book that comes with the car has 35 stamps overall. The MoT is valid until May 2023. 

The car comes with its current and past V5Cs, confirming three owners overall. There's also an invoice from the 2020 service, MoT certificates from 2019, 2020 and 2022 and the owner's instruction manual, audio instructions and service book, with the last of its 35 stamps at 107,740 miles in February 2020. 

In 2014, the vehicle was a Category C Insurance Loss; Vehicle extensively damaged but repairable - insurer decided not to repair.
