1986 FORD SIERRA RS COSWORTH ONE OWNER FROM NEW

This example of Ford's very potent turbocharged Sierra was registered in November 1986 and has had just one single owner from new.  The indicated mileage on the odometer is 50,397 although looking at the enclosed paperwork suggests this total is actually 150,397 miles, with the car being kept (and maintained) in both England and Ireland - and the Irish Garda greatly admiring it, apparently. In 1992 at 51,122 miles, a new upgraded Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 engine was fitted by Graham Goode Performance Specialists, purchased direct from Ford. Before installation, the engine was dismantled, the cylinder head and manifolds were gas-flowed, all rotating components were fully balanced and a new clutch fitted. A Graham Goode breather system, cooling system, front suspension strut brace, polished aluminium power steering steering tank kit and other refinements were also added. The car presents well, albeit with some minor faults such as the front bumper not fitting as flushly as it could and some cracks in the centre of the top of the dash. A very large bass speaker unit is installed in the rear load area - suffice to say, the original Ford 1980s' radio has gone, and a more modern and powerful Alpine unit is in its place. The car has was thoroughly re-undersealed in 2019. There's an MoT to July 2023. The documentation includes the V5C, old tax discs, MoT certificates from 1995, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2016 and 2022 and letters from CAB Ford dealership in Cork and Graham Goode Performance Specialists (including confirmation of the fitment of a security system to Thatcham 2 specification in 2014). There's a large stack of invoicing showing regular servicing and other work over the years back to the late 1990s, with the most recent bill for servicing by Graham Goode being in July 2022 at (1)50,209 miles.
