1972 VOLKSWAGEN 1200 BEETLE

This 1192cc example of Volkswagen's ubiquitous Beetle, registered in August 1972, was driven 30 miles to the auction. The vendor tells us that welding work was done in 2019 and describes the VW as a ‘usable, improvable vehicle’. The car sports wide Wolfrace-style wheels. Among the areas that could be improved is the interior, where the rear seat has black tape along its top edge. 55,060 miles are showing on the odometer, albeit not warranted, and the Beetle's last MoT expired in April 2015, having been tested the previous year at 52,995 miles. The only documentation with the car is the V5C.
