1979 LAND ROVER 88" SERIES III

This 1979 2286cc petrol Land Rover Series 3 88in was restored by its previous owner during 2016 to 2018, and is described by the vendor as starting and driving very well, and being in regular use. It is fitted with a higher output 901 suffix 8:1 compression engine, and has also been upgraded with a modern air filter and steering wheel, although the originals will also come with the vehicle. It also has a working crankshaft-driven Capstan winch. recent work undertaken includes replacement of the thermostat and heater hoses. The odometer shows 88,649 miles and the last MoT expired in July 2022, after testing the previous year at 87,646 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Land Rover is now MoT-exempt (as well as road tax- and ULEZ-exempt too). Documentation includes the current and past V5Cs, starting instructions, photos of the restoration, MoT certificates, and a stack of invoices - including quite recent ones for a new door top, exhaust, rear shocks, fuel tank and battery.
