This AC Bristol has formed part of a private collection since the 1970's and is now offered in need of restoration. The AC Bristol Register has kindly provided the following information: Supplied new by K.N. Rudd Ltd to a R. Gauge, the car returned to K.N. Rudd before being sold again to the British racing driver, Betty Haig in 1961. During her ownership she competed in many Hill climbs on the Continent testing Pirelli Tyres. She then sold the car on to Jacques de Wurstenberger who owned it until 1963 when he bought BE 1218. Subsequently owned by John Bentinck Speed. The Continuation buff log book that comes with the car shows it was purchased by Ian Peter Gridley in 1966 and current ownership since 1974. The front part of the bodywork has been replaced with fibreglass. Comes with continuation buff logbook and a copy of 1976 MoT certificate only. The registration number 70 PPE is still live on DVLA and HPI databases
