1937 BENTLEY H.J MULLINER PILLARLESS SPORTS SALOON 

This very smart and stylish Bentley 4 ¼-Litre saloon, with H J Mulliner Pillarless Sports Saloon body, has been owned by the vendor for the past five years. As an ex-aircraft engineer, he's also done the annual servicing and maintenance on it. The car was registered in June 1937 and has five registered keepers showing on its V5C, although it's likely there have been more due to the age of the vehicle. The odometer shows 63,060 miles and the last MoT expired in September 2019, although the Bentley is now MoT-exempt as an historic vehicle. The vendor reports that the car drives well, and has been upgraded with an aftermarket overdrive unit for more relaxed cruising. 

There's a huge and fascinating amount of documentation with the Bentley, including the V5C, and the owner's notes on how to start the car and how to service it. There's also a photocopy of running and maintenance instructions, a wiring diagram as well as a very comprehensive ownership history, with construction and test records and receipts and correspondence back to the 1950s, along with books and adverts. There's also a Derby Bentley Technical Manual.
