1988 BMW 635 CSI AUTO

Registered in August 1988, this 3430cc BMW 635 CSI Highline has mainly been in storage for the last six months or so and is now being sold due to a bereavement. The vendor reports that it has been well-loved over the years. Six registered keepers are recorded overall, and the car is MoT'd through to February 2024. The odometer shows approximately 169,700 miles. It is reported as running and driving well and reliable, albeit with MoT advisories for a power steering component having slight seepage, a front oil leak (not excessive) and the exhaust in poor condition. Some chassis rust was cut out and welded during 2020. More recent work has involved an MoT, service, having the brake calipers greased and new front ball joints. The vendor reports that the electric seats and windows work as they should.

Accompanying the BMW are its current and past V5Cs, and a very large stack of invoices from throughout the car's life. These include correspondence relating to a new engine in 1992 at circa 75,000 miles. There's also evidence of bodywork carried out over the years. Also included are a collection of old tax discs, plus a handwritten account of extensive work carried out during 2004 at circa 118,500 miles. The MoT certificates date from 1994 to 1999, 2001 to 2012, 2015, 2019, and 2021 to 2023. The book pack is included, with owner's handbook, Blaupunkt radio instructions, 1987-88 dealer guide and the service book, which is stamped up to 157,000 miles in April 2010. In addition, a spare set of alloy wheels also comes with the vehicle.
