1965 FORD MUSTANG 5.0 V8 FASTBACK AUTO LHD

4,942cc, V8. This early example Mustang Fastback was first registered in the UK in 2016. It has previously received some structural, cosmetic and mechanical restoration and upgrades by a previous owner. It has the benefit of C4 automatic transmission which was subject to some repair work in 2021, GT driving lights, disc brakes, power steering and a set of aluminium road wheels. Restoration works have included new floors, a full repaint in Vintage burgundy metallic, new carpets, dash pad, period-looking digital radio and a new Autowire wiring harness. 

The Fastback was the rarest of the first generation body types, introduced in September 1964 some six months after the Hardtop Coupe and Convertible, accounting for less than 20 per cent of production. 

The car has spent some time dry-stored and shows 25,026 miles on its odometer. As an historic vehicle, it no longer requires an MoT, its last expired in July 2018 after having been tested the previous year at 24,885 miles. Three registered owners are recorded since the car came to the UK. History accompanying the Mustang includes the V5C, various bills from recent years, various USA documents including import to the UK and an owner's manual. There are also MoT certificates from 2016 and 2017.
