This Triumph Bonneville came from a private collection and was purchased by the current owner in 2007. Registered in May 1965, it has had five registered keepers overall. As an historic bike, the Triumph is now MoT-exempt; there is no record of it having one up since online MoT records began in 2005. There was a complete engine rebuild in 2018 by a private Triumph specialist, with the 650cc engine completely stripped and reworked top to bottom. The vendor reports that the cylinder head was converted to lead free running by The Cylinder Head Shop. Other parts were all repaired or replaced, with parts or services provided by the best available in the UK. The crank was reworked by SRM Engineering Ltd. All bearings associated with the crank were replaced and the crank dynamically balanced, the connection rods and pistons were weighed and balanced to provide best fit and performance. The camshafts have been replaced as have the bearings (bushes), pushrods and pushrod tubes. The oil pump is new, being a high performance one supplied by the Morgo Company. The ignition system is now an electronic type. There's also been a new clutch and clutch hub replaced, the generator stator was also replaced, and the gearbox overhauled. Other jobs include the speedometer and rev counter refurbished, while in recent years the wheel rims and tyres have been replaced, as has the wiring harness and battery.

We're told that the bike runs well, but hasn't been used much in the last 15 years. However, when in storage it was checked and started. The odometer shows just two miles, it is believed to have been reset following the engine rebuild. The bike comes with its V5C, some details of the engine rebuild, and notes on how to start the bike. There's also a spare key as well.
