The vendor acquired this MGB as a completely restored car a year ago, albeit one that had problems with the rear axle. Consequently, the rear axle was removed and rebuilt and the car also converted to fuel injection. However, thanks to the vendor's commitments with other cars in his collection, the MGB is underused, and so he has decided to sell it. While it isn't clear when the car was restored, it remains in very good condition, with the vendor describing it as running well and reliably, with no issues known. The car was given a replacement Gold Seal engine in 1989, fitted by a dealer. Recent work within the last 12 months has included a service.

The MGB was registered in August 1977 (its B-plate number was put on during 2021) and was previously Flamenco Red; its colour was changed in 2018, which is possibly when the restoration may have been carried out. The current shade is Aston Martin Indian Green Metallic. The odometer shows 70,279 miles. As an historic vehicle, the car no longer requires an MoT; its last expired in February 2022, after having been tested the previous year at 69,756 miles.

The history folder includes the V5C, owner's handbooks, a Heritage Certificate, a large stack of invoices from the 1980s onwards for tens of thousands of pounds, and photos of the restoration in progress. The MoT certificates date from 1985 to1986, 1988 to 1991, 1993 to 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2018.
