Owned by the vendor for 18 years, this is a fully race-prepared 3.0-litre Capri that has achieved many race wins, class wins and one outright championship triumph within the Classic Touring Racing Car Club. It has also featured in many YouTube videos (see below). The 1971-built Ford is purely a track car and therefore not road-registered; thus there is no V5C (or any other documentation).

The vendor bought the car in 2005 from another CTRCC member and ran it in the Pre-74 Class. He describes it as having a ‘very solid shell, having always been dry-stored while in his possession’ - the car is on the button and ready to race after having levels checked, a nut-and-bolt inspection, new seat belts and its fire extinguisher serviced'. It has a Ric Wood race engine, which was refreshed two race meetings ago; the Capri has been stored unused for the last five years. Also fitted are Tony Law race manifolds and exhaust, a 3000 four-speed gearbox with Quaife close-ratio straight-cut gear kit, limited-slip differential rear axle, cambered and tracked suspension, and AVO gas dampers with external cylinders and two-way bump rebound adjustment. Other modifications include AP front callipers with vented discs, adjustable bias front brakes, full roll-cage, racing seat, harness and fire extinguisher. There are six 7in Revolution wheels fitted with 205/60 R13 Toyo Proxes R888 tyres.
