5,000cc. From a small private collection. The Roaring Forties GT40 replica is said to be one of the most accurate GT40 replicas in the world. An extremely rare vehicle and not to be confused with some of the less accurate examples available. The chassis was built in Australia where the company is still based today, the rolling chassis was then shipped to the UK where the (engineer) original owner constructed the rest of the vehicle, including the installation of a 5.0ltr Ford Racing V8 crate engine, along with a brand new Audi 6-speed transaxle gearbox. The build quality is exceptional. It drives beautifully, and is very well mannered on the open road. It is of course extremely lively should you wish to drive it in that fashion, which is of course encouraged! The current owner carried out an extensive rear end refurbishment, where the mechanical back end was stripped down and new parts installed with existing parts stripped and power coated. New fully adjustable Avo suspension springs and coils are fitted along with a new bespoke radiator. It is equipped with working air-conditioning. It comes complete with a large history file including the original build documentation and spare keys. This lovely car gets a huge amount of attention, and is fondly admired wherever it goes. The current owner is selling the vehicle to fund other upcoming projects. The mileage is recorded at 11,464.
