1972 TRIUMPH STAG 3.0 AUTO

The vendor purchased this Triumph Stag to cover a short term need for a four-seat convertible while another was restored. He describes it as driving nicely with a good engine and gearbox, further reporting that there is no serious rust but  the paintwork is only fair. The car was registered in May 1972 and has around 64,700 miles showing on its odometer (although the MoT paper trail suggests this is likely to be 164,700. As an historic vehicle, the Stag no longer requires an MoT; its last test was in July 2017 at 61,881 miles. The paperwork file includes the V5C, a file of most MoT certificates back to 1980, and a stack of invoices back to the 1970s, plus Triumph and Haynes workshop manuals.
