1981 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER SPUR

The Silver Spur was the long wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit, actually outlasting the car it was based upon by three years (going out of production in 2000; the Spirt survived until 1997). This fine Georgian Silver example, with St James Red leather interior, was delivered new by H R Owen in July 1981, and has had just a single registered private keeper throughout its life, a prominent Nigerian lawyer and judge, who split his time between Nigeria and the UK, thus meaning the Spur didn't receive that much use. The odometer shows a very low mileage of 6256 miles. Its MoT is valid until August 2023. 

The documentation includes the V5C and various invoices, including a £3000 one for the repair of body damage by marque specialist The Chelsea Workshop in November 2019 at 6206 miles.The vehicle was apparently in storage there at the time, which may explain why three previous services from there also show 6206 miles, although there is a note on one October 2019 bill that the speedometer/odometer were faulty and needed overhaul - which was done to cure a sticky needle. Also in the file is a copy of Queste magazine (for Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners) and a brochure on the Silver Spur range. There's the original build information, complete with the purchase invoice for £51,383.92. Also present are MoT certificates from 1998 and 2022 and a spare set of keys. In addition, there's the book pack with owner's handbook and supplement.
