1988 MERCEDES 300SL R107

2962cc petrol, auto. This lovely Arctic White Mercedes-Benz 300SL (R107) has been owned by the vendor’s wife since 2010, and the V5C records only 2 keepers before her, following its arrival in the UK in 1998. Its history file includes the original order form and bill of sale, showing that its first owner was a Group Captain Vickery, stationed at Ramstein Airbase in Germany. He took advantage of a 10% diplomatic discount, selecting an options list which included heated orthopaedic seats, electric aerial and (at a cost of £3745!) air conditioning. Cruise control and a leather steering wheel were among the standard specifications. 

Today the blue half-leather interior remains very well preserved, with only 41,741 miles showing on the odometer. The bodywork has also survived very nicely, and the car still wears its original dealer plates. It comes with an advisory-free MoT to 28th July 2027, having been MoT tested annually. It was driven 50 miles to our premises, and the vendor tells us it's been very reliable. 

The car is supplied with its hard top plus cradle in the boot, and its history file supports the low odometer reading. Documents include MoT certificates covering its entire time in the UK, handbook pack with service book containing 7 stamps up to 23k miles in 2005, various old maintenance receipts, and its sales invoice for £22,750 in 2010.
