1989 VOLVO 740 SE ESTATE

The vendor has owned this Volvo 740 SE estate for 15 years, using it as a second car. He tells us that he has maintained it to a good standard, it has never sat unused for long periods, and it runs smoothly. The odometer shows 153,061 miles, but the speedometer hasn't worked for some time; however, the vendor estimates that, at the most, the 740 has covered around 500 miles since. There is a replacement speedo with the load of parts that comes with the car. The car is reported as being reliable and running well, with recent welding near the battery well having been carried out. All four electric windows work, as do the heated front seats. However, the sunroof has been sealed up due to leaks; it was operational before this though. 

The Volvo was registered in April 1989 and has had three registered keepers overall. Its MoT is valid until October 2024. Documentation with the estate includes the V5C and book pack with owner's manual and service book, the latter with entries up to 129,952 miles in April 2005. Under the vendor's ownership, the car has had regular oil and filter changes, although there's no paperwork for this, and the services haven't been every year. There's also various invoices and MoT certificates plus two Haynes manuals and spare keys.
