1989 VOLVO 760 GLE ESTATE AUTO

The 760 was the six-cylinder variant of Volvo's popular 700-series range of large saloons and estates, with six-cylinder 2.8-litre engines. This top-range GLE model was registered in February 1989, a year before the 760 model was discontinued. There have been just two owners overall, with the first keeping it for 24 years, The indicated mileage is 47,260 miles and the vehicle is MoT'd until December 2022. Finished in dark blue metallic paint with tan leather interior, the estate comes with an electric sunroof, heated front seats, radio/cassette player, electric aerial, dog guard, tow bar with twin sockets, headlamp protectors and wipers and a stainless steel exhaust. The overall condition of the car is very good throughout, with an excellent exterior and very tidy and clean interior, albeit with some sagging of the headlining and, we're told, a sunroof switch that can be intermittent. During the pandemic, the second owner had the front brake calipers reconditioned , fitted new pads, ABS front wheel sensors, distributor cap and rotor, plugs and HT leads, air filter, Bosch fuel pump and filter and the hot start relay. The engine oil and filter were also replaced, as was the steering pump fluid and the antifreeze, after a flush. For its MoT in 2021, all four tyres were replaced with new Avon ZV7/V91 items, new rear discs and pads were installed and a power steering fluid leak sorted out.  The car comes with its V5C, original book pack with owner's manual, radio/cassette player instructions, and service record, albeit only stamped up to 15,356 miles in October 1992. There's also the original bill of sale for over £20,000, assorted invoices from throughout the car's life, and MoT certificates from 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. There's even the original Volvo Lifetime Care cassette that came with new Volvos of the era. A spare key comes with the car as well.
