The James Cycle Co Ltd of Birmingham, was in existence from 1897 to 1966, with many of their motorcycles finished in a characteristic maroon livery. The vendor describes this as a very original James Captain bike in very good running order - 'completely original, patinated and not messed about with; starts and runs well'.  Registered in February 1956, the V5C records three previous registered keepers and displays an odometer reading of 16,961 miles, albeit not warranted. There is no MoT but as an historic motorbike, the James no longer requires one. Its last expired in July 2013, having been undertaken the year before at 11,419 miles.  The bike comes with its V5C, original rider's handbook, instruction book and spare parts list.
