1976 MG MIDGET 1500

This 1976 MG Midget, finished in Chartreuse Yellow, was previously owned by a British Leyland employee, who bought it when he retired. However, it was apparently little-used and kept in a heated garage instead. The Midget is believed to be totally original, never painted or welded, and Ziebarted from new - the only non-original item is thought to be the stainless steel exhaust. Its last MoT test was in January 2020 (at 16,364 miles) with no advisories, after which it was just driven back from the test centre. The mileage indicated by the odometer, of 16,364 miles, is believed to be genuine but can't be warranted because of the long periods of lay-up. The car comes with its current and some past V5Cs, original bill of sale (£1777.28 in August 1976), owner's handbook, MG Passport to Service booklet, and some invoices - including four new tyres in March 2020. There are MoT certificates from 1996, 2014, 2016 and 2020, as well as a letter from the previous owner clarifying that the car was taken off the road from 1997 through to at least 2005. Included in the boot are the original tool kit, tonneau and hood cover.
